new car

Wed, 25 March 2020 08:31

A Russian factory worker saved his Roubles and could finally afford a new car. He made his way to the Moskvitch dealer and placed his order.
He was given a delivery date of 8th November in 8 years time.
"Will that be morning or afternoon?" he asked.
"What difference does it make?" said the dealer.
"I've got a plumber coming in the morning.

Nicked from another forum, but made me smile

Whats everyone's thoughts on Coronavirus, the things happening world wide to try stem it, issues like toilet papers & pasta?

Me, I've not done much yet but did a big shop on Saturday and added a bit extra of some things and tried to get toilet paper but the shelves were empty and queues at tills about 45-60mins long. I did find an end shelf with 18 packs of andrex picked that up, then when packing the shopping on the conveyor for scanning and packing, we set that on the shelf at the start of the conveyor to do last and promptly forgot about it Doh

Ended up picked 3 x 4 packs of dead cheap stuff from my local corner shop which didn't have supply issues although their Andrew x4 rolls were especially small ones and not worth the £2.85 so bought crap stuff for 89p for 4 just in case we need to resort to something given we have f*** all newspapers and limited other paper in our house Laugh

I have a theory on the over 70 year olds (which includes both my parents) isolation it seems is coming in the next week or two and a while different reaction from other countries it may be an inspired [under difficult circumstances] ploy. In theory most young to ~60-70 years old who are healthy seem to suffer not much more than mild to medium flu symptoms if they catch it so I think the plan is to allow everyone who is relatively safe to catch it suffer the hopefully mild/medium symptoms then recover the have immunity and no longer contagious. 2-4 months down the line, 95% or so of the population (<70 years) has had i, recovered and the virus perhaps dies out? think

Forum moved to new host - Problems?

Wed, 11 March 2020 09:58

The forum was giving me lots of crap errors on Tues evening added to other issues with the old hosting, I've now migrated the forum to a new host provider.

It was touch and go on getting the data back but I'm getting there now and hopefully just a few minor things to sort now such as the forum banner/header logo

Please let me know if you have any other issues?

No photos yet , it's in a diabolical state ! It's been in ashed for years , the shed collapsed revealing the bike which is now mine . Engine turns over and it selects gears . I think it's the beginning of a lot of work , no handlebar fairing but everything else is there .1982 so very early ! Cool

Kerm's Sachs Madass 160

Wed, 04 March 2020 21:09

Bought on a whim although have been looking for about 12 months and these things kept drawing me in for their funkiness and simplicity

God knows if I'll ride it much but its something to tinker with as the evening grow longer and I had a sneaking suspicion it would fit in the Mondeo's boot to get it home which it did....just...with front wheel off & unfortunately I somehow managed to snap all 4 indicator stalks during the trip home Laugh

Valve clearance help. ; Tue, 03 March 2020 22:21

Hi, please can people help. Iv got a 2017 plate cbr125r which I purchased last march or may last year 2019 (will have to double check to confirm) it had just over 1000miles, i have now done just over 7100 miles on the clocks which consists of numerous long distance and one which was 660 miles hull to scotland. I do regular oil changes / oil flushes but I'm wondering when it is reccomended for these to have there valve clearances done/ checked if anyone knows please? Thanks

I own the haynes manual etc but believe this isnt mentioned. I'm also going to get this done professionally as I just dont have the time but honda dont help much with actually giving me an answer.

Thanks in advance.
