CG 125 cracked engine case

Help. Rebuilding cg 125; Tue, 16 June 2020 13:28

Thanks for dropping in

I’m currently rebuilding my cg 125 w (97-00) engine number jc27e and found a very bad crack in the engine case. I’ve searched high and low looking for a replacement to no avail. The closest I’ve found is a engine case off a 1982 model the cases look practically identical.

My question is does anybody know if the internals (gears etc) would fit into a older case or even better if anybody know where I might find the same model would be greatly appreciated

Thanks in advance

Just how safe is it to use? think
I have been thinking about using it for work since every single company seems to be using it these days but the fact they are owned by scumbag FaceBook worries me to no small end. I don't like the idea of my business contacts to be "shared" with I don't know who, let alone all the rest I have in my phone.

No, it's not that kind of filth. Wink

This year I won't be going to the Maldives because of covid19.

Normally I don't go to the Maldives because I can't afford it .

Police are now looking for a man and say there's a price on his head

I often refer to the missus as my Trophy Wife.

She's not good looking or anything, she's just got really massive ears.

A mate called and said, "I've just had a huge fight with the wife. Do you have a spare bed for a few weeks until I find a flat?"

I replied, "I've a sofa, if that's any good."

"Perfect," he said, "you're an absolute legend! I'll send her round in a bit."

Anyone need a new set of rubber?

Tyre pairs from M&P; Sun, 17 May 2020 18:07

Its years since I bought from M&P but remember their catalogue fondly from the days before most retailers where online and they were usually very good on prices Thumbs Up

I think BT15's are supposed to be reasonable all round tyres although when I last used Bridgestones they were BT010 and BT012's

BT015 Battlax ZR17 120/70 & 180/55 (note 55 rear profile) @£99.98 delivered

Metzeler Sportec M5 Interact Tyre Pair 120/70 ZR17 58W | 190/55ZR17 75W @£149.98

plus other pairs that might look reasonable too given last time I looked the latest rubber seems to be close to £280-290 a pair

Never used M5's but have used some of the earlier Sportec tyres and found them pretty good in all round dry conditions although as I don't usually go out in the rain I can't comment on that side of things but going by the tread (or lack of it) they look like quite grippy/sporty tyres that should be ok'ish in the wet. =&p=0&fR%5Battributes.productgroup%5D%5B0%5D=Tyre%20 Pair%20Deals

Piston rings CB125s 1973

Thu, 14 May 2020 23:46

So I have received my new Honda Genuine Parts piston rings for my 1973 single cylinder 125s . They are standard size. Question is which order do they go on the piston in ? I know the oil ring as I call it goes at the bottom but the other two rings appear different, one is bright steel, the other is a dark steel and the gap between the ends looks bigger on the dark ring as they lay on my table. Not sure if there is a specific order ??
