where are you seeing the "auto delete"...is that an addon?

imo cookies are that bad, they do track you but if you delete all cookies then you have login again to any sites where your usually recognised eg forums, facebook perhaps, webmail, bbc etc

I tend to let cookies get on with it but occasionally use CCLeaners tools to add/remove from a list of cookies to keep and get rid off then let it get rid of loads on unknown/unrecognisably named cookies

It's a Firefox addon

https://addons.mozilla.org/it/firefox/addon/cookie-autodelete/

If I under correctly it's the successor of Self Destructing Cookies, which the developer stopped supporting when FireFox 57 came out, with a few addition such as the ability to "whitelist" websites, meaning you can decided which cookies you can let live in your cache to make log in more convenient.

Personally I use Privacy Badger to avoid potentially tracking cookies and processes altogether and on some pages the quantity of stuff blocked is simply insane. eek

ah, useful addon but not for me Thumbs Up

I prefer the manual (via ccleaner) cull option when the urge takes me partly as tend I use Quidco a lot [which relies on tracking data from Quidco to the retailer] so I try not to block cookies otherwise from cashback might not track Grin
