Hi folks, still working on restoring my xl125 i got a set of xl200 paris dakar forks as its both an upgrade and cheaper than repairing the old forks. Problem is, i need a new brake caliper to fit! I was stupid and didnt buy the one from the seller that matched the forks (i thought the 125 caliper would fit) so now im left with the seemingly impossible task of finding the right caliper. Nowhere seems to see vintage recreations or have any Nos ones so im hoping you guys could help!

Cheers fellas!

You need to ask the seller, but it's from a Paris-Dakar (XL200L), not the far more widespread XL200R, so if you used Paris-Dakar forks they should fit.

You may also want to keep an eye out for MTX125, XR250R and mid 80's XL350/600R calipers, as they all used exactly the same brake mounting bracket as the XL200L. I think 80's CR125's used that bracket as well, but I haven't seen one in the flesh in a few years.

And another step on the path to dementia: I've just remembered only the XL200L had a front brake disc while the more common (and cheaper) XL200R had to do with a drum. Doh
