No mate same pic, have you done the safety features think
Tis just a reminder to all, especially those with the same
garage door,to be careful,it seems bike theft is a piece
of piss, and the police aren't arsed, so security is No 1
priority Thumbs Up
Typical rig down in Southern Italy, where bike theft is more than rampant, is to wire the metal parts of the door to one of these: https:// store.nzfarmsource.co.nz/catalog/stafix-m36r-mains-energizer /204578
Strong enough to really hurt but not strong enough to kill. Cutting power to the house won't work and it has hours of autonomy. Thumbs Up

But try that up here and you'll be sent to jail for hurting a "cultural enricher". think

Oh, yes:

Nice fossil, is it yours K?

Slaz, I have same garage door and can see the massive paddlock in middle and extra + shaped metal bars but can't quite figure out how they work?

My brother would probably find a way to save if not all of them at least the vast majority by completely dismantling the cabinet in some time-consuming yet ingenious fashion. Wink

Mine? That thing is probably worth north of £10,000. It's at the Burgmeister Muller Museum in Solnhofen, an amazing museum in Bavaria off the beaten path. Best €5 I've spent in a long long time. Thumbs Up
Just to give an idea of what prices good quality fossils fetch, they had this on display:

It's an Archaeopteryx fossil that was found locally in 1992 and which was sold in 1999 to the Paleontological Museum in Munich for DM 2 million. It had come back on loan for just three months and was lucky enough to have it all for myself together with the other two local Archaeopteryx specimens.

Me and my son found a few fossils this summer on the Scarborough/Whitby coast. They're nothing special just shell type fossils probably worth a few quid at most but we were pleased enough although we were hoping to find ammonites Sad

Laugh

However, the Royal Fail are quite adept at that......but they don't bother to knock!!!

I was at the misses place a few years ago, waiting downstairs for her to finish getting ready RollEyes & heard the letterbox clatter, so having a bit of time to spare (remember the 'management' is still preening upstairs RollEyes ) I went to collectg the post to find a 'sorry we missed you' card Confused
Quickly opened the door to see posty making a hasty retreat down the road Mad
A stern oi! & he turned around somewhat sheepishly & came back No Finger

you also want to add one of these in each bottom corner to stop them peeling the bottom corner of the door up.

A Brazilian once told me they are good at just three things:
Martial arts
Football
Volleyball

I'd add they are also very good at playing wickedly good trash metal live. Wink

All the maintenance personnel must have high turnover rates: the place is spotlessly clean and perfectly kept.
Oh yes: it's private property as well. Wink

It's not just the French then... Wink

And don't talk to me about German cars. Mediocre reliability, extremely high ownership costs and some frankly baffling cost-cutting measures which are never passed on to the customer.

Possibly true on the reliability, nice cars and in general well built in terms of few rattles etc but they do seem to breakdown a lot judging by the number of BMW, Mercs and Audis I notice on motorway hard shoulders which has traditionally been reserved for French and Italian cars (and formally British cars)

I think perhaps they simply over engineer and complicate them with electronic this and that to the point that the smallest circuit failure results in 'limp home mode' or "stop the car immediatly" appearing on their dashes perhaps because a sensor is unable to determine if all 4 wheels are attached or cylinder one mis-fired 1 in 10,000 times and so failure is imminent

Back when I was studying TPS (Toyota Production System) we were given a book to read about Ichiro Suzuki, the chief designer of the first Lexus car and semi-legendary figure in Corporate Japan.
Before even starting to design the car, Suzuki set out to study the competition and found out exactly what you said: luxury car owners had a chief complaint, and that complaint was poor reliability with only owners of the larger Volvo models considering themselves happy about their cars reliability. So he did the sensible thing: he bought a bunch a luxury cars in both Europe and the US, both new and used, and had them torn apart and tested. Surprise surprise, the worst of the lot turned out to be the Audi's. Not much has changed in the meantime.
Earlier this year I was in Ingolstadt, basically Audi country, and there was a massive traffic jam caused by a brand new Audi SUV (A really big and I take expensive one) which had stalled in the middle of the road, completely dead. The Audi recovery service was already on the job and I suspect the owner was punching himself for not buying a Land Cruiser. Laugh
Confirming what I was told several years ago by an old BMW greybeard owner "Be very grateful the people designing and building our bikes are not the people designing and building BMW cars".

And since we are in the season:
