Had the 954 up on the Abba stand, noticed the slightest of notch on the steering, hopefully will sort that over the next few weeks, pictures to follow eek

My experience with headstock bearing: get OE. Good quality bearings aren't hard to find if you have a sample and a good industrial supply shop nearby, but the dust seals are another matter.
Honda has long used Arai (no relationship) which is basically the best stuff money can buy but it's rather hard to find aftermarket. Considering how much are these seals, saving money is really not worth it.

Hold fire, got the Bike up in the air just tried the steering , no notching , there was only interference from the accelerator cables, bloody MOT center RollEyes No Finger

I don't know about the 954, but my 929 had a screen that looked real tatty after a couple of years despite the rest of the bike holding up more than well.
Without bothering you with the subtleties of the chemistry involved there's a very good explanation. Grin

That's a good reason to fit an aftermarket screen right away and put the original away. Thumbs Up
