Cut and Paste, no need to install anything.

1) Browse to iphone from Computer
2) Expand DCIM and you'll have one or more folders named 10xAPPLE - don't ask me why these subfolders mutliply over time as I've no idea
3) in Each of the 10XAPPLE folders will be your images and videos

To fully clear down the phone to free up space go into each folder in turn press CTRL+A (select All), then CTRL+X (cut) then ideally in another open Explorer Windows goto your PICTURES folder, create perhaps a subfolder and CTRL+V (paste) to paste the images from the iphone to the Pictures folder. This will take 5+mins, possibly a lot more.

If you want to organise them once moved to the PC, perhaps create subfolders 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 etc then sort the 5000+ pics/videos by date modified and cut and paste all modified 1/1/2015 to 31/12/2015 in the 2015 folder, then go back and similar for the 2016 etc. Use mouse click to highlight first pic in a date range, scroll to last in the date range then hold SHIFT and click again and all files in that range will be selected, then CTRL+X, navigate to the new subfolder you want them in and CTRL+V and they'll instantly be moved.

the file named 0000b3.....bf5 has no file extension such as .jpg or .mov isn't is going to open with a default viewer/player as Windows has no idea what the file is.

Where was that file from and what size is it cos if smaller than 1MB chances are it isn't an image or video.

If you like I can have a look over TV before 5pm or sometime after 6pm?
