I thought it was the German carburetor manufacturer. Wink

Joking aside it's most likely a known malware named "www-search.net". It can be removed following this tutorial: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1019383
Beware the malwaretips link is basically a link to junky "antivirus" programs. No Finger

And do yourself a favor and install a proper security program like Kaspersky.

I could take a look using Teamviewer if you like Slaz?

you could also try Malwarebytes from https://www.malwarebytes.com/mwb-download/thankyou/ <-- the free version although I think I may already have installed that for you?

For info (not Slaz as he knows lol) fixed using teamviewer. It was a bit odd as no addons or extensions in FF own list of installed addons except for Adblocker but in ccleaner's Start Up -> browser addons section a Bing adddon showed up so disabled that (along with amazon.com.au) and now its gone

Malwarebytes was already installed, let it run a scan (which is start off with updating itself) and it found zero issues so all good smile

I forgot to check installed programs....have a look at your install Programs and Features (from control panel) and see if there's anything list in there that might be obviously named like Bingxxx or something you don't really recognise

probably not related to the bing issue but you can uninstall most (if not all) the xbox related APPS from SETTINGS -> APPS -> Right click the ones you don't need/want and most of them have uninstall

We have an xbox so I've kept most of mine but there's load of other crap apps I've uninstalled, eg 3D Paint

Nothing to worry about: it's just Microsoft trying to sell you one. Wink
Windows 10 comes with all sort of needless programs pre-installed, bloatware as they call it. There used to be a "business only" version which charged you a premium for not pushing useless junk on you but I think it was terminated 18 months ago.

I have the Professional version at home and work and those Xbox apps are installed as default on those versions too. It might be the Enterprise version that perhaps comes without those but normally any large scale rollout of Windows 10 in a large company would involve taking the initial base image from Microsoft and customising it by removing/adding features and settings the company needs, I've done that a few times in the past for Windows 7 but as I work for a smaller company (12 staff), its not worth the time/effort to do that.

^^ None of which Slaz will find remotely interesting Laugh
