Bring in the new year, bring in the changes. Old forks are leaving along with the calipers, braided lines, air filters and the exhaust in favour of both new and old parts to bring the bike a bit more up to date. I'll update things as I go along, but I'll have the bike off the road for the next few weeks (maybe months)

Just an update,

Got the latest bits today. I never fancied putting the standard black calipers on the gold forks and gold wheels so say hello to a set of brand new, never fitted, 2011 monoblocks from the Repsol Fireblade. I'm still waiting to get a carbon fender, a spacer for the forks and new bolts. I hope it's all going to go together for about April/May and I hope I've a new exhaust by then. The one I was looking at getting has gone :-(

Of all the people on here I'd have expected you to spend at more than 50 quid on an upgrade - I'm disappointed in you and your cheap tat Sad

Finally got the forks fitted. Still need to get the calipers fitted and new lines ordered. The wheels are still in Germany and not yet painted and still on the look-out for a new system. Nearly there,

The wheels finally made their way back to Belfast and I had some new Bridgestone R10's fitted (apparently I'm the first guy he's fitted these too on a road bike) I think I'm going to go back to the Micron system as I can't find the system I want at a proper price so I'm back to where I was a few months ago, but with different forks. I still have to fit the new calipers, but I'm waiting on new lines before I do that and I've ordered a new rear sprocket too (+2, but not that the bike needs it) The search for the new exhaust will continue, I just don't want to have to fork out £1600 for a new one.
