The collector and link pipe is still in stainless, had hoped for Ti' but he had some issues with the plates that were cut to form the collector, they had been too thin on the edges so he didn't trust them. Made the link pipe and collector from scratch again and the can in Ti.

He's done a top job on it this time, as high up and in as far as it can be, so if it touches down again now, it'll mean I'm already on my arse. RollEyes

Just need to knock up another hanger, as it's obviously not high level any longer, so requires something that won't resemble a steel girder.

Something like this....

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg225/Quazi_photo/IMAG0017_zps197a7ce1.jpg

It's 4mm thick ally, I might even paint it black to lose it a bit more.

Covered it in tape to get an idea...

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg225/Quazi_photo/IMAG0019_zps4664eb71.jpg

It does lose it a bit, not so in your face.

Thoughts? smile

It's one of those things that is necessary but hard to make it look something ordinary.

The idea is good: however I would fit a rubber damper of some kind on the exhaust side of the thing. If you are going to use a standard exhaust clip, put a strip of heat resistant silicone or rubber between it and the exhaust and a rubber grommet between the bolt head and the bracket.
That should dampen vibrations nicely and make the whole installation long-lasting.

Yep, Kak' ta.

I was going to do some sort of rubber absorption on the top mount, difficult on the can because it has a bolt mount on the rear already where the lower end of the hanger sits, I'm not using a can strap or anything like that. I think it needs to be black, the more I look at it the less I like in in bare ally. It just seems to hide it a bit in black.

Finger is well and truly out now RollEyes

Got me bits today to make up me oil lines, think I bought too much oil line though. Laugh RollEyes

They ended up being shorter than I expected. smile

Tucks in nicely between the pipes.

http://i249.photobucket.com/albums/gg225/Quazi_photo/IMAG0051_zps656be0d3.jpg

Choosing the size was a bit of a concern, so opted for the safest option and went as near to the original flow size as the factory lines, apart from the oil cooler outlet which is the next size up on the chart, should work a treat. smile
Not too shabby, will have to wait a few more days for me filters to arrive then I'll be taking it into work next week for a test run up the yard whilst on nights. smile

No matter how many times you do it, it's still a huge relief when it fires up after a major piece of work, always cause for a beer.

Kind of. Laugh RollEyes

Thanks chaps.

Pecks, not far enough, but I'd like to take it to Brands one time this year. Just to have a go with a few tracks on it too, it's too much hard work to just keep in on the stands. Wink

I'll let you know in advance if you're interested, you never know, we might even entice Ginga out for a jaunt. Thumbs Up
As long as it isn't as hot as the last time I was at Brands, 31 DEGREES! The old girl would melt, no water cooling here you know. Laugh
