cheers, glad its not just me

ran it on the stand and it has all the gears Thumbs Up

to celebrate and get out of the garage i thought i would cut the lawn

first the strimmer ran out of line half way round, tried a cable tie and a bit of wire in it to finish but didnt really do the job

got the mower out and it started ok but spluttered to a halt after a few mins - so back in the garage i went RollEyes

after an hour of stripping down and cleaning the carb it turned out it needed a new plug

now just need to change the oil in the blade as i put the old stuff back in to try it, change the brake fluid, refit the fairings and hope for dry weather next sat as lydden has a trackday and i only have worn slicks which i am hoping have another day left in them,

will see then if alls ok and i have put it all back together and tightened everything eek

will let you know smile

I took the blade to Lydden yesterday for its first run since the engine was put back in and it was all good Thumbs Up

first session i was riding around with all kinds of thoughts running through my head like " did i tighten that" "whats that noise" etc etc

but all was ok and the bike ran fine with all the gears working as they should so i am very happy

the tyres that i hoped had another day left in them didnt RollEyes i could not get on the power out of the corners while it was on its side but i still had a good day

Pleased for you Pecks, nice one mate, good effort. Thumbs Up

That feeling of imminent destruction never goes away, I get it every time I ride it. Laugh Trouble with that is, one day it'll come true it's inevitable. RollEyes

I must stop eating that alpha-betty-spaghetti for breakfast. Wink

I get the same gut feeling even after minor work usually with weird noises that were either always present or just in my head so your not alone on that score and to be expected after such major work.

Happy it ran well for you aside from the tyres having given their best Thumbs Up
