I strongly advise againt using Loctite on a sprocket carrier. Why? You'll find out at the next sprocket change like I did. Doh

No problem at all: Optimoly is what Haynes recommends (guess why Wink ) while Castrol is what BMW uses at the factory and in the workshop. Thumbs Up
