I'm lost on the bing thing, can't find anything in your startup for Windows or browsers think

re spell check, perhaps that got removed with the FF refresh and didn't come back with the re-sync like your adblocker

This is the spell checking I have
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/british-engli sh-dictionary-2/?src=search

and this is the Language pack
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/english-gb-la nguage-pack/

Not sure what the difference between the two are but they're both fine to have there and one or both will get spell checking working again

Can't see Microsoft getting away with making a user preference for browser (Firefox in your case) default to bing sometimes.

Perhaps check these folders mentioned under "choosen solution" for dsengine.js and dsengine.cfg files

https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1203608

2nd option. I know even though Edge isn't set as default, it does run in the background when you login to Windows. You can stop that happening by following this guide which might help although your does seem a bit odd as my Windows 10 is similar with FF as my default browser and can't recall the last time I say bings page Laugh

"seems to be working"......for now Wink

fingers crossed for you, it was a strange one as I and millions of others on Win10 have Edge and if you don't use it, I'm fairly sure it doesn't get annoyed with you and punish you by forcing bing search on whatever browser you do use Laugh
